Terms of Service
The rules for using webocreation.com, our free tutorials and downloads, and our development services.
Last updated: October 14, 2026
In short: read and learn freely, and use the code from our tutorials in your own projects. Don’t republish our articles as your own. Free downloads come as they are, so test them on staging first. Paid work is covered by a written proposal. Questions? Email webocreation.com@gmail.com.

1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“terms”) apply to your use of webocreation.com and everything on it: our tutorials, free extensions and themes, newsletter, comments and contact forms (“the website”). The website is run by Webocreation (“we”, “us”), based in Glendale, Arizona, USA.
By using the website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website. If you use it on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for that company.
How we collect and use personal information is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.
2. Using the website
You may use the website for any lawful purpose. When you do, please don’t:
- try to break into, overload or disrupt the website, its servers or other visitors’ accounts;
- upload or send malware, spam or anything unlawful, abusive or misleading;
- copy the website’s content in bulk with automated tools in order to republish it;
- pretend to be someone else, or suggest that we endorse you when we don’t.
We may block access or remove content from anyone who breaks these rules.
3. Our content and how you can use it
Unless we say otherwise, the articles, tutorials, images, videos and other material on the website are owned by Webocreation or our authors and protected by copyright. We publish them so you can learn from them, and we want you to use what you learn.
You may:
- read, bookmark, print and share links to any page;
- use the code examples and snippets from our tutorials in your own personal or commercial projects, including client work;
- quote short parts of an article if you credit Webocreation and link to the original page.
You may not:
- republish whole articles or large parts of them, on another website, in a course, a book or a video, without our written permission;
- translate or rewrite our articles and publish them as your own;
- sell our content, or remove our name or links from it.
If you’d like to republish or translate something, ask us first — we often say yes.
4. Free extensions, themes and downloads
We offer some OpenCart extensions, themes and other files for free. Each download may come with its own license; if it does, that license applies. Where no license is stated, you may install, use and change the download on your own stores and on projects you build for clients, but you may not sell it or redistribute it as your own product.
Downloads are provided “as is”, without support or warranty. Always test them on a staging copy of your store and make a full backup before installing anything on a live site. We are not responsible for lost data, downtime or lost sales caused by installing or using a download. Where we list compatible OpenCart versions, we have tested them in good faith, but we can’t guarantee they will work with your setup or with future versions.
5. Accuracy of tutorials
We test our tutorials and note the software version they were written for, but software changes, and mistakes happen. Tutorials and other content are general information, not professional advice for your specific situation. Check that instructions fit your version and setup, and try changes on a staging site before applying them to a live store.
If you spot an error or an outdated step, please let us know through the contact page so we can fix it.
6. Comments, guest posts and other submissions
You can comment on articles, send us messages and, in some cases, submit guest posts. You are responsible for what you submit. By submitting, you confirm that:
- it is your own work, or you have permission to share it;
- it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- it is not unlawful, defamatory, hateful, obscene or an invasion of someone’s privacy;
- it is not spam or undisclosed advertising.
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to publish, display, edit for length and clarity, and share it on the website and our channels. Comments reflect the views of the people who post them, not ours.
We may moderate, edit or remove any comment or submission, and we don’t have to publish anything we receive. Guest posts follow our guest post guidelines.
7. Newsletter and emails
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we’ll email you new tutorials and occasional updates. Our newsletter is delivered through Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
8. Books, affiliate links and other websites
The website links to other websites, including stores such as Amazon where our books are sold. Some of these links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes what we recommend.
Other websites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, products or services. Purchases you make there are between you and that seller.
9. Advertising
Some pages may show advertising from third parties such as Google. Advertisers may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Our Privacy Policy explains how this works and how to opt out of personalized ads. We are not responsible for the products or services advertised.
10. Development and consulting services
Our service pages describe what we offer in general terms. They are not an offer or a contract. Every paid project starts with a written proposal or agreement covering the scope, price, timeline, payment terms and ownership of the work. That document governs the project; if it differs from these terms, the proposal or agreement takes priority.
Free consultation calls and estimates come with no obligation on either side.
11. Linking to us
You’re welcome to link to any page of the website without asking, as long as the link is not misleading and doesn’t suggest a partnership or endorsement that doesn’t exist. Please don’t show our pages inside a frame on your site, and don’t use our logo without written permission.
12. Trademarks
OpenCart, WordPress, Drupal, HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Salesforce, Next.js, Unbounce, Cloudflare and other product names mentioned on the website are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to describe the products we write about and work with. Webocreation is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies unless we say so.
13. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on the website infringes your copyright, email us at webocreation.com@gmail.com with: the page address, a description of your work, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized and that your notice is accurate. We will review it and remove the material if appropriate.
14. Disclaimer
The website, its content and its downloads are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the website will be accurate, complete, secure, error-free or always available, or that it will meet your needs.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Webocreation will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of the website, its content or its downloads. Because the website and its downloads are free, our total liability to you for anything relating to them is limited to US$100.
Liability for paid services is set out in the proposal or agreement for that project. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Your responsibility
If you break these terms or misuse the website, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, including legal fees.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we can’t resolve together will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. If you live outside the USA, you keep any rights that the consumer laws of your country give you.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add new features or when the law changes. We’ll change the “Last updated” date below. If you keep using the website after an update, the new terms apply. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
