  • Koshi Zonal Hospital (EDR) & Bheri Zonal Hospital (MWDR) established Nutrition rehabilitation centres. Also CHD/NS is trying to establish nutrition rehabilitation center inside Kanti Children’s Hospital premises.
  • Need to allocate HMG contribution to establish NRC.
  • Some initiative has been taken to establish nutrition rehabilitation centers in Butwal and Kaski (WDR)
  • Also, proposed in World Bank/ DFID grant assistance program.
  • Nutrition rehabilitation centers have been established inside Koshi Zonal Hospital (EDR), Bheri Zonal Hospital (MWDR) and near Kanti Children’s Hospital (CDR).
  • Nutrition rehabilitation center in WDR is yet to be materialized.
3Inadequate supply of iron/ albendazole tablets in districts.
  • Purchase deficit quantity of iron/ albendazole tablets by districts as crisis management under budget for essential drug scheme.
  • Purchase of iron/ albendazole tablets in sufficient quantity at central level.
